Left Hand Path
Left Hand Path is a bar in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Conceptualized as an elevated neighborhood bar, they serve excellent cocktails and food in a warm and welcoming environment.
We wanted to pay respect to the location which was formerly a sandwich shop seen in the movie The French Connection and vintage neon lettering. I also looked at colors and textures from the interior paint, particularly the rivets on the banquettes and square nails on the wood paneling.
The style of the lettering was inspired by classic neon glow. The decorative shapes echo the brass rivets and unfinished square nails. The rust and the gold tones convey the welcoming coziness.
I applied the branding new promotional pieces and menus. My goal with this project was to deliver a clean and versatile identity. I also set the client up with templates so he can update the menus as needed.
